Palo Santo Stick

Our beautiful, sweet aroma filled Palo Santo sticks are farmed in Peru, South America. Traditionally it is used for prayer, ceremonies, healing purposes, purification, rituals by shamans, healers, and elders because the ancients believed this scared tree had both magical and healing properties. They believed these would only be cultivated and come to life if the tree in fact lived its entire life and laid to rest peacefully. They would only use wood harvested from trees that have naturally fallen, laying for an extended period after which they were dried, aged, and burned during the above uses. The metaphysical properties came as a result, where it is believed to purify negative energy and attract positive ones.

Commonly known healing properties of Palo Santo now include helping with common cold and headaches, reducing of stress and anxiety and reducing inflammation and effects of allergies.

The harvesting of this Palo Santo is strictly regulated, with the same guiding principles as ancient and traditional ways. Throughout the process, this wood is treated with respect and is only harvested from naturally fallen trees that have been laying peacefully for 4-10 years. Once a fallen tree is taken, a Palo Santo seedling is put in its place, to ensure the continuous restoration of the Palo Santo population.

Note: These sticks are thicker than typical Palo Santo sticks. Always take caution when lighting, burning, and putting out cleansing products/ Palo Santo. Always use a heat proof dish to collect ashes as you go.
